- Don’t take antibiotics when it’s not necessary. They kill friendly bacteria which boost your defenses against pathogenic yeast. If you have to follow antibiotic treatment, make sure you take probiotic supplements during and at least two weeks after your treatment.
- Keep your cortisol level low. Heightened cortisol level can significantly lower your immunity and make you more prone to infections. To maintain a healthy amount of cortisol in your blood do the following: get enough sleep, avoid situations leading to chronic stress and cut down your caffeine intake.
