Boils are not a serious problem most of the times, just unpleasant. They can be treated at home with some natural remedies. If, however, within 2 weeks the abscess doesn’t disappear and fever installs or it hurts very much, you will need to see a doctor, because you may need antibiotics.

Here are just a few suggestions to get rid of boils and relieve its symptoms.

Tea tree oil: has antiseptic, antifungal and antibacterial properties. Soak some cotton wool, and then gently swab the boil. In a few days it should start to heal.

Turmeric: You probably already know about the miraculous properties of turmeric, which turns out to be the best “healer” not only when it is ingested, but also when it is applied directly to wounds, irritations and, in this case, boils. Mix turmeric powder with a little water to form a paste, and then apply it over the boil.
Leave it for 20-30 minutes, and then rinse the area with hot water. Repeat the procedure 2-3 times a day.
