Endometriosis symptoms and treatments

I remember my first experience of discovering I had Endometriosis. I was sitting across from my doctor who tried to explain what the condition was and of my likelihood of having it. The truth is, I had never heard of it and had no idea what he was even saying. The only feeling I had was one of relief for finally having an answer to my constant period pain and a general feeling of being unwell.

Do you know what Endometriosis is?

Sadly, many women are unaware of the condition and are led to believe that period pain, PMS, and hormonal irregularities are simply normal and something that “women have to deal with”. It is estimated that 1 in 10 women have Endometriosis but most of these women only discover they have the condition when they try to conceive a child and are unable to.
