For those who don’t know, there are 2 types of strokes, that is, hemorrhagic and ischemic. The former is caused by a bleeding in the brain and it’s less common than the latter one which is a consequence of a blockage or narrowing of the brain arteries, which in return reduces the blood flow.
Why Does a Stroke Occur?
When a blood vessel, which carries oxygen and nutrients to the brain, is blocked by a burst or a cloth, a stroke occurs. Hence, one part of the brain doesn’t get the needed blood and the brain cells die. A lot of bodily functions are controlled by the brain. So, to increase the chance of recovery and to reduce negative consequences, we need to recognize the symptoms of a stroke and seek medical attention as soon as possible.
